Building True Partnerships Where Their Priorities Become Mine
When people ask what has kept me inspired after more than 15 years leading large, global client delivery teams, the answer is simple: I don't think of the people I work with as clients.
They're my partners.
That mindset changes everything. It changes how I show up to every call and meeting. It shapes the way I lead my team. It shifts my focus from simply delivering services to creating meaningful outcomes. Most of all, it defines what success looks like for me.
Why I Do What I Do
For me, it all starts with asking a simple question: What goals are my partners truly trying to achieve?
Collaboration has always been at the heart of my approach. I want to understand a partner's business as if I were part of their leadership team. What keeps them up at night? Where do they need support to achieve their vision? What would make the biggest difference for their people and the communities they serve?
Over the years, I've learned that when you truly commit to clients as partners, their wins feel like your wins. Whether it's achieving an ambitious hiring target, navigating a complex credentialing challenge, or improving financial operations for more sustainable growth, those successes motivate me because I know we played a role in helping them get there.
Some of my proudest moments have come from helping teams reach milestones they once thought were out of reach - like scaling up hiring to meet an urgent community need or streamlining credentialing processes that had stalled progress for months. Those moments are powerful because they're shared victories.
My Measure of Success
I've never measured success by the number of contracts signed or the volume of requisitions filled. For me, success looks like:
Strong partnerships are my proudest achievement. They show that we've earned trust and that we're delivering real value.
Why It Matters
In healthcare recruiting, credentialing, and FinOps, it's easy to get caught up in metrics. But at the end of the day, this work is about people - the people we support, the leaders we collaborate with, and the teams we help thrive.
I believe that when you show up as a true partner, you look beyond today's challenges. You invest in understanding the business, anticipate needs, and find ways to create value where and when it matters most.
My Approach in Action
What excites me most is seeing our partners succeed. It's knowing that an executive team can focus more on their priorities because we've helped streamline a process. It's watching a healthcare organization meet a critical staffing goal during a time of urgency.
That's why I love this work. My measure of success isn't about what we achieve alone - it's about the progress we help our partners make.
Every day, I remind myself that Their business is my business.' It's not just a saying, it's the foundation of how I approach every partnership. It's an honor to walk alongside healthcare leaders, understanding their challenges, celebrating their victories, and contributing to their mission. This journey is about shared purpose and making a tangible difference together.
I'm curious - for those of you who work with clients or partners, how do you define success in those relationships?
